Have You Ever Considered Journaling?
Have you ever thought about the different times that you have ever tried to lose weight yet have never been able to succeed? Do you ever consider what some of the common factors in each attempt may be that could have attributed to this lack of success in this area of your life?
One of the healthiest things that you could do as you begin this weight loss experience for hopefully the last time in your life is to try journaling. This is about so much more than just getting out your feelings, although that is important too. I am talking about food journaling, fitness journaling, and then writing down your other impressions of your weight loss journey that you consider important and worth talking about.
Many of you may shy away from this process but it can be healthy for many dieters and I think that it could be beneficial for you as well.
When it comes to dieting we all fudge a little from time to time on what we eat. We have to to maintain some sanity at times. But I am a firm believer that keeping a food journal and recording every morsel of food that goes in your mouth is a super way to keep you honest. You may not remember everything that you have eaten for the week, but the food journal will. Try this and you are sure to be pleased with how easily you can then pinpoint the things that may could be changed in order to produce better results.
Same thing goes for exercise. Keep a log of what you do and for how long. This will provide you with some visual proof of just how much stronger you are getting each and every day and what a real motivational tool that can be.
Finally write how this weight loss experience has made you feel- no holding back. What a great thing to go back and read each time that you feel yourself slipping, and this may be what you need to keep you sane and get you back on track to the lasting happiness that you deserve.
