Britain’s Fattest Teen Unhappy With Weight Loss Surgery
The girl described as Britain’s “Fattest Teenager” has revealed that she regrets having gastric band surgery which resulted in her 20 stone weight loss (280 lb) reports Dietpillsthatwork.co.uk
Aged just 17, Malissa Jones from North Yorkshire, weighed 34 stone (476 lb) when she became the youngest Brit to receive a gastric bypass in 2007.
Two year later, and Malissa has revealed she is depressed and wishes she never had the operation.
‘I know it sounds ungrateful, but I preferred my body when I was fat,’ the 19-year-old told Closer Magazine this week.
‘At least it was firm and curvy, not droopy and saggy. I had nice firm arms - now the skin just hangs and I have to cover them up because they look so awful.’
At 17 Malissa was a size 30 dress Size, but is now a shapely size 16. She is forced, however, to hide her new body under long tops and trousers to shield the folds of excess skin.
The NHS won’t remove the skin and I’ll never manage to save £20,000 to have it done privately,’ she explained.
‘The surgery might have saved my life, but I wish I’d never had it done.’
As a child Malissa had always been overweight and as a teenager she become morbidly obese.
Frighteningly she suffered a suspected heart attack, aged just 15! Her daily diet saw her consume 15,000 calories a day, with a day’s food consisting of 8 mars bars, 10 packets of crisps, 4 sandwiches and takeaways.
Malissa went under the knife after doctors said her weight was crushing her internal organs.
The bypass was a resounding success and she lost two stone per month. As a result of the weight loss, however, she developed excess skin and came to resent her new body far more than her old one.
‘I feel so upset,’ she said.
‘I hoped being slimmer would mean I could wear a bikini and go swimming, but I’m too ashamed of my body.
‘The thought of living with a body like this for the rest of my life is just devastating.’
I hope people read this and realise gastric surgery isn’t a miracle cure.
‘I wish I’d lost the weight through exercise and healthy eating. I know this operation was life saving, but the complications I’m suffering now might still kill me. The truth is I feel I’m no better off than I was before.’
Surgery to induce weight loss should always be an absolute last resort, and as Malissa’s story shows even if weight loss occurs, the results can be unsatisfactory.
The safest and most effective ways to lose weight are through diet and exercise.
To boost the results and increase motivation there are numerous natural and organic products that can aid and encourage safe and long term weight loss.
The acai berry has received worldwide notoriety for its nutritional values. This small purple fruit has been proven to be a powerful and effective fat burner that boosts metabolism and energy levels.
Most acai berry supplements only contain acai berry extract and therefore will merely provide short-term assistance with your weight loss goals….

Acai Berry Select, however, is different. As well as acai berry, these diet pills also contains green tea, a well-known fat burner and weight loss supplement.
It also contains other weight loss ingredients that can help regulate blood sugar levels that encourage your body to shed unwanted pounds.
