Diet Pills Checklist

After trying a fair few diet pills and researching into the diet pill industry, I have realised that the most safe and effective diet pills have certifications, medical accreditation and have undergone clinical trials. I have composed a Diet Pills Checklist that covers the above factors as well as considering aspects of safety.

Safety

  • Is the product manufactured in a safe environment in either a US, UK or EU laboratory - these countries have strict rules governing safety and efficacy. NB. The majority of diet pills are manufactured in Asia where there are very few rules governing the production of diet pills
  • Is the diet pill distributed by a reputable company?

 Quality of ingredients

  • Does the product have Certificates of Analysis to prove what ingredients are used?
  • For Hoodia products only, have the company been issued with a CITES certificate to prove that Hoodia originates from approved farms in South Africa?

Effectiveness

  • Does the product contain clinically proven ingredients that have been scientifically tested at universities or private laboratories?
  • Is the product medically backed and endorsed by respected practitioners and health professionals?
  • Does the product carry the CE mark of approval to show that it is a medical device? NB - This is very rare and Proactol is the only non-prescription diet pill on the market with a CE mark.

Warning: If a diet pill does not match at least one or more criteria from each of the three factors, then it has not had to pass any health assessments meaning that you may be putting your health at risk. It will also not deliver what it promises as its ingredients will not have undergone any clinical trials to prove that they aid weight loss in any way.
